Camp David International

God has commissioned us to bring the gospel to the nations and Camp David International is doing that through camping ministry! Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The power of camp ministry is the community that is created in a week- a place to be silly, have fun, laugh, cry, and share your stories. No matter what food you eat or what language you speak, when you feel like you belong, you can open your heart to understand God more. This is how transformation begins around the world- reversing the cycle of crime and setting captives free from the power of darkness.

Camp David International began in 2017 with our first International camp in Uganda, Africa. The camp impacted the lives of 120 children of prisoners ages 4 to 18, and was such a tremendous blessing both to the ministry we partnered with and our Camp David team, that we knew we wanted to do this again! Since then, God has been opening doors and connecting us to other ministries around the world who are serving children of prisoners and other very at-risk children.

For 2019 we have three global opportunities that you can join us on! You can join a team, or support one of our international camps!

August 22- September 1, 2019 – Uganda, Africa.  Camp David Uganda is in their 3rd year, and we have the opportunity to serve as support roles to love on the children in the camp! These children have been rescued by Wells of Hope Ministry from their villages where they were denied an education and made to work as slaves because of their parent’s crimes. We get the chance to love on these kids and laugh together!  Trip cost: $2,950

September 26- October 6, 2019 – Southeast Asia. We are excited to launch a new camp in Southeast Asia!  In a land where class and birth play a major role in a child’s destiny, children of prisoners experience some of the worse rejection and abuse, with no hope for a better future. On this trip we will be working alongside national brothers and sisters in this beautiful land of diversity and color, sharing the love of Christ with the least of these.  Trip cost: $2,900

November 2-10, 2019 – Guatemala. We are excited to launch a camp in Guatemala City to serve about 35 children of prisoners from the Zone 18 area. There is a team of Spanish speaking people we are working with to help host this camp and we recruiting a team of ten to join us who are bilingual or who have a heart to serve. We will have some translators to help us!  Trip cost: $1,700
