Staff Ministries Director
Paul Van der Kruik is the Staff Ministries Director for Camp David of the Ozarks. He is married to his lovely wife, Lenita and together they have four beautiful daughters: Tealin, Amelia, Madeline, and Charlotte. Paul and his wife work together as a team and are very excited to be involved in the ministry at Camp David.
Paul received his Bachelor of Arts from Clarke College in Dubuque, IA with a focus on History. After returning home to Upstate, NY, he served for five years as a local licensed pastor. He served two different congregations before leaving the ministry to pursue a career in farming. He worked on an apple orchard with a close, family friend for 16 years, met and married his wife, Lenita, and they started their own small, vegetable farm. In 2012, Paul began working as a professional Boy Scout where he held several titles and was responsible for running all aspects of a local camp including managing staff and budget, and maintaining facilities.
Lenita left a career as a real estate agent to work on the farm with Paul and together they began to grow their family. As their family grew, Paul and Lenita decided that she would stay at home and homeschool their children.
When Paul and Lenita are not working, they enjoy family time: hiking, fishing, scrapbooking and, of course, drinking coffee.
