I had the privilege of being born (1955) into a Christian family and put my faith in Jesus at age 12. I attended the University of Missouri at Rolla, where I met my wife, Denise, while visiting a church and we married after graduation. I worked in St. Louis as a computer programmer for 23 years. Denise and I had three children whom we homeschooled from kindergarten to college age. After getting married, we attended a Baptist Church together. Later, we joined a Bible church where I served in the nursery with toddlers, was a Royal Ambassador leader, a deacon, softball coach, and I led a fellowship committee. I was able to take early retirement, so we moved to Rolla where we helped start a home church, where I served as an elder for 10 years.
I began volunteering at Camp David in 2005 by helping build Fort Turley. Learning about how CDO brings our Father’s love and hope to children who desperately need this, makes me want to be a part of such a needed ministry.
